Chief attacked by dog...

Gilberton Police Chief, Mark Kessler was forced to shoot a dog that attacked him when he attempted to handle a problem with a parked car at the home of Greg and Rita Grove.  Gilberton Mayor, Mary Lou Hannon reported that when Kessler knocked on the door of the Grove residence, Greg Grove opened the door and the couples labrador ran out and attacked him.  The dog was taken to a local animal hospital where it had to be euthanized.  Kessler was not hurt.
